Set on the eastern frame next to Te Kaha Stadium on Barbadoes St, we are ready to host your events, gigs and dance parties moving on into 2024. Our space can carry sound, it is set up for 177 punters and licensed till 2 am.

Continuing with our tradition of dance at 206 Barbadoes st, we are proudly moving into the 20th year of parties at the site and look forward to the newbuild in the carpark set to increase capacity by 500 punters.

Through the week Galaxy operates as a food bar, retro arcade and VR cafe. On the weekends we are dedicated to the party.

Offering a clean alternative to the hustle and bustle of town, we like to to support local creative and emerging performing artists and musicians and crowds of like minded good folk on the dance floor. Where it is poetry, puppet shows, music or other shows, we would love to host you !
